You want to press a button and have it load the FX, maybe with certain presets without activating them? Yes you can do that

Or if you mean can you check how a Fx would sound on a track, no there isn't a 'FX cue' function in Traktor(or I didn't see it which is also a possibility).

I bet that's it. There's no way to cue FX due to the way FX are routed I believe.

yeah there is no way of doing it without it being played out loud (unless you have the volume to 0 or the crossfader on other deck)

I think you can. All you have to do is the deck volume to 0, activate the CUE option, making you hear the track loud and clear on the headphones, turning the MIX knob to 0 or 100 (try it not really sure which one it was) and finally making the desired FX Unit work only on the deck where you're playing the song on the headphones. For example if you have the song on Deck B you have to do the following:

    1. Deck volume B - 0
    2. CUE button ON (it's the little button on the right of the deck volume with headphones painted on it, I call it cue because it's called like that on controllers and in the mapping)
    3. Turn FX unit 2 on deck A OFF - a little above the headphone button there is FX with 1 and 2, they are ON by default
    4. Use FX Unit 2 for desired effect - it will affect only what playing on deck B.

If this doesn't work for some reason, try Deck B volume = 100 and the crossfader max to the left.

Wouldn't it be possible to just copy Deck A to Deck B so they are running the same song exactly paralell, then cue deck B in your headphones and adding the FX to that track?

If he's using traktor that is.

Copying to a deck would work.

What patient said works, I did this once to apply a effect only to the highs and mids (had deck a run the track with killed lows and deck b run it with killed highs and almost killed mids)
