    Default What effects?

So...What effects are you guys using on with your S4?

I wish NI would make the effects knobs assignable so we can take advantage of all that real estate. I find myself kinda lost when it comes to using effects in a live situation. When I play in clubs with a DJM-800 I know exactly what to do.

How do I make this easy? I want to turn a knob and have great effects -- note I also have an X1 and wouldn't mind setting up some superknobs, I just don't know of many good combos.

Thanks guys for all the help you have provided now and in the past.

    Start by
    1. watching all of Ean's videos on Fx and transitions, also watching his performance videos will help
    2. check out the the traktorbible.com there is also a S4 companion X1 mapping to download there
    3. search through the forums here and at Native Instruments (as this has been asked alot)
    4. check out my youtube channel (link in my sig)

My best advice is to pick 1 effect in single/advanced mode, and play with it for an hour. Apply the effect to different types of music like just drums, more melodic parts, etc. to see where it works best and what the knobs and settings do. That way you teach yourself what the fx does and how the settings affect the sound.
In chained mode, it is easy to see what happens being that only one parameter changes, but what you want to play around with is adding different fx in different orders and amounts to get a sound you like.
