How did you find your Kick?

Out of all the elements I use when producing a track...the one I have the most trouble with is the kick drum. I'm still looking for "mine"

I have the sound in my head, but I can't seem to get it right.

very similar to Mr. V's "Jus Dance" but with a little more attack.

Interested to hear how other folks found their ideal kick.

Layering usually a little linn drum mixed with 808 or 909 and some compression .

3 layers, and your attack would probably be the click with some tuning in an envelope
