small problem

Im trying to set up my audio 2 with these speakers i just got, I followed the instructions and everything but im not sure if everything is setup right. When I press cue to hear the song in the headphones if i leave the volume up and the fader in the middle, I hear both songs, shouldn't the cued song only be heard in the headphones? or am i wrong? Also when a song isn't cued but playing on the speakers, I still hear it in the headphones, and its hard to hear the cued song. Its driving me crazy! helppp

I think I may have figured it out, If I lower the monitor select knob all the way down then I only hear the cued song, is that how it should work?
