I think you should lower the level of the drums or bring up the level of the synth you use in the intro. The drums are really powerful and sound nice but that synth is quiet in comparison.

The wave form in soundcloud is only thin because there is heaps of dynamic range from the drums. Soundcloud stretches the waveform preview to fit in the player. Don't worry about how it looks just how it sounds

As for mastering it depends but usually its around the lines of a multiband compressor, then an EQ, maybe a compressor but something with a little bit of character and only used ever so slightly, then lastly a mastering limiter. Some tracks don't need all of this. Other's need more. Just remember that when it comes to mastering, less is more, usually.

    Good luck

have a read over tarekith's guide to mastering

    http://tarekith.com/assets/mastering.html

also look over his other guides as a lot of people recommend them on other forums. also check out the ableton.com and abletonlivedj.com forums for tips/reference

    Cheers chaps!

Think i might have to add a higher synth lead to balance the tune out....as for mastering i think i need a week or two to get my head around it!

do you have any suggestions of extra synths/sounds etc that would boost the track?

    cheers
