first rough track

i was at a mates and he had made a bass part that i liked so i tried to remix it.its my first whole track attempt and im a bit lost as to what to do next.i've got to the point where i've listened to it to death.im not happy with the first couple of mins as theres nothing very interesting happening and the first transitiony drop sounds not too good.what eq flaws can you hear as i think thats a fairly big problem for me at the moment?i'm gonna change a bit of automation and notes to get the top sound to groove better and maybe automate the mid bass synths cut offs and oscilators
to build up and down a bit more. and i think i need a breakdown but haven't attempted anything yet?.i'm after some suggestions as where to go with it(recycle bin? ).it should be at 126 aswell but i rendered it a 128 so it now sounds slightly worse than was originally intended
