Default For those interested in learning synth programming

This came up on another forum after I had suggested some wind instrument vst's. The poster was trying to learn how to do it without the help of actual samples or vst's.

Basically, with proper knowledge, you can recreate most sounds with a synthesizer. *note i said most, not all

    have a coffee for this:

I've been digesting these over the last few weeks - I'm thanking my past Physics and Electronics teachers and lecturers as it makes understanding the basic concepts a load easier ...

Wow, what a great resource, many thanks! I've been messing around with softsynths for some time now but I've long passed the stage where I need more info on what is actually happening. I dream of one day being able to produce the noise that I can think up but so much knowledge on sound has to be learned first.

Or once you become stinking rich and have far to much spare time and money, you can fill your studio up with modular synths and remake the Nintendo NES classic theme tune from Castlevania.

Deadmau5 music isn't really for me, but my respect for the guy went up few notch's after seeing this
