    Default Another sleepless night...

I still have a hard time deciding which sound card to buy, which is either the audio 6 or audio 10. I'm currently not a club DJ but play from time to time at a local bar that has allowed me to bring my traktor stuff and have left some impressions on some people.

But two channels is boring and I want to be able to have the same creative freedom as Richie Hawtin, Dubfire or Deadmau5 (even though he runs ableton, but you get the idea...) but as the topic says: I'm not sure which sound card I shall buy.

The way I see it: the audio 6 will allow me to run 2 tracks on deck A and B and have an sample deck on deck C (which is the only option it seems and I hoped it would give you the option to run a third track) whereas the Audio 10 is more expensive but gives me enough outputs which would eventually spare me from workarounds if the Audio 6 would not satisfy me.

So the question is: Is the audio 10 suitable for a "bed roomer" that is slowly crawling out or should I be fine with a Audio 6 card and still have room for enough creativity with three decks on a 4-chan mixer?

    Thanks in advance.

You didn't state what your budget is, however, my advice would be to go with the Audio 10. The Audio 10 will allow you room to grow as your skill set advances. If you get the Audio 6, I suspect that within a year or so, you'll wish you had purchased the Audio 10.

If you can afford it, go for the Audio 10. That's what I would do if I were you.

    Hope that helps.

Or if you look around you could go inbetween and get the Audio 8. Even though it is the last generation it is still going to be compatible with TSP2
