    Default Machine & Midi Keyboard?

Hey fellow DJ's got a question? Who out there isusing Maschine and a midi keyboard and what brand? I'm have trouble deciding on wanting to get a Roland X8 keyboard or just a simple midi keyboard? Here is my set up: Berhringer djm-4000, (2) CDJ-100mkIII, Maschine, Kontrol X1, all running on Traktor Pro Scratch, & I will be getting the S4 This weekend, I also have a Akai MPS 5000 that i'm not really using that much but I like to make my own beats in which I can do that on my Maschine as well... so i think i'm going to sell my Akai MPC 5000 to get some other equipment, Midi Keyboard? Help

Thanks to All my fellow DJ's and keep Spinning,Mixing & keeping people dancing!!!!!!!!!

IMO getting a simple keyboard with out a lot of extra bells and whistles is better. You already have plenty of knobs, buttons and pads elsewhere if you need them for producing.

old thread but my questions fit to the title

1)if you get a midi keyboard with aftertouch, maschine's software can read/record the aftertouch action of the keyboard?

2)axiom's directlink/hypercontrol and novation's automap can be disabled when you use the keyboard with maschine and run them only in a daw?

3)if you use the keyboard and maschine in a daw can you map maschine to control some parameters that keyboard's knobs and faders would control so to "avoid" a keyboard with extra knobs and pads?

4)some keyboards include ableton live lite, with this version can you still save and export your audio after 30 days of activation?

5)for house/electro music what kind of keys would help me more?synth style?semi-weighted?both?i am not a piano player,i want just to try to create some melodies

    thanks

Look at the ableton site, they have a comparison chart for all ableton versions. You can use it indefinitely, but are restricted in numbers of tracks and extras.
