Default /Build Log/ DIY gamepad controller

Hello everyone! After I saw some awesome projects in this forum, I've decided to make my own. I will be using Logic 3 gamepad, 4 10k potentiometers and as many buttons as i can get from this gamepad.

    Some pictures:

And now I have some questions:
    1) When i connect my gamepad, potentiometers value in junxion is 63 and potentiometers range is from 63 to 127. I can't control in range 0-63.

Maybe someone knows why to do? (I removed original potentiometers).

    2) In junxion 4 buttons are shown as one - Hatswitch. Its default value is -18. When i press button the value changes to 0 36 72 108. Maybe there is a way to separate them? Then i would have 16 buttons.

    Thank You!

    as for the HAT-Switch:

I had the same problem on my device, too.when you press the "left-button and the "right" button at the same time, the signals seem to kill eachother, resulting in no control message being sent at all.
(same for up/down). found no way around (apart from placing the corresponding buttons far away from eachother to prevent me from pushing them both at the same time) this so far.
-> tutorial on my project: http://derschaich.blogspot.com/2011/...-tutorial.html

    for the potis:
you have to desolder the old thumbsticks completely and then connect you pots.
if you leave the old ones on the board the default resistance (which resolves in MIDI 63) only addy up to the one from you poti, thus leaving you with the upper half of the scale...

or you can use the original pots but lose half the resolution. Just set Traktor to respond to the 63-127 range.

    Cool clone
I removed them! You can see that in this picture:
    That didn't make any changes.

i really don't have any further information for you, my gamepads have 16 digital switches plus 4 analog pot (they'r two lousy chinese pads)

you need to take out the "joysticks" to take full advantage of the analog terminals.

iff you use the deafult windows control panel "game" icon, does it work? it could be some problem with junxion.

another idea, is to connect all of the analogs to pots at the same time, in my case, if i only connect one pot, the other pots still send information

I solved the problem with adding tables in junxion!!!!

Now I am dealing with Hatswitch problem. Junxion sees 4 buttons as 1 called Hatswitch with default value minus 18. When i press buttons it changes to 0,36,72,108... Whit some tricks in junxion i separated 3 (36,72,108) and now i can connect 15 buttons, but I dont know what to do with the zero one.
    Any suggestions?

And maybe someone could suggest where to buy cheap arcade buttons (international shipping please )?

it looks like you've mapped junxion to do what I suggested... just bare in mind that you've likely lost half the resolution... wouldn't recommend using those pots for anything which requires a degree of sensitivity (jog wheels, pitch fader, etc)

    Layout:

Because I can't separate 4th button from Hatswitch, I'll be using 3 knobs and 16 buttons. Today I've ordered 16 buttons from here. They are cheapest i could find. Now I am looking for wooden box. Maybe someone knows where to find colored pots caps?

you can spray them on your own. So you will get exactly the colour you want. Maybe some flourescent painting
