Default Dicer and traktor scrtach problemos

    Hi there,

Ive just got myself a pair of dicers for use with traktor scratch pro and the ddtt .tsi. I'm pleased with them (particularly the extra parameters dj tech has added) but there are a few fundamental problems i'd like to deal with.....

    1) When you try and store a hot cue with the dicer it doesn't snap to the bar. Instead it drops the cue exactly where you hit it. I can see the advantages of this but i'd like it to snap to the nearest marker if possible.

    2) The same with the looping function, it doesnt snap to the closest beat marker, which makes loops sound out of time if not pressed at exactly the right time.

    3) When i'm in vinyl mode, in can't stop the deck and play drum pads in an mpc style. The deck has to be running and therefore the tune underneath. This is real annoying ive found. If i run in internal mode though, i do have the ability to play in this way. Seems strange why it's been left out of vinyl mode.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Ben in Leeds, UK

    hey dude,

I can't speak to your third question, but those first two issues can be solved by clicking on the "quantize" and "snap" functions at the top of the main browser screen. your loops, effects and hot cues should snap to your beatgrid.

what exactly do you mean by your third question? Do you want to use hotcues when the deck is stopped?

As for the first 2, what he said.
