Akai APC20 Mapping

Hello everyone

First post so go easy. Ive just upgraded to traktor after previously using ableton for my sets. (actually didnt realise how good traktor was until recently) and want to use my apc20 as a midi controller. After a few hours last night ive pretty much got the clip launch buttons mapped for play, cues, loops etc and the faders mapped to effects. Ive also pretty much got the LEDs finished as well. Everything seems to be working fine and no problems however when i mapped them and selected learn it mapped the to the notes (f3# etc) and all other posts on here seem to refer to the CC. Does this make any difference?? as i said i havnt had any problems with anythin yet but im new to this (first time ive created my own mapping)

Ok thanks. I didnt think it was going to be a problem just knowing my luck ill lose everything mid set ha. seems a bit strange mine picks up the notes when nobody else seem to

I don't know enough about the way APC midi works to comment really, there's probably more than one mode or a software editing option or something.

Yeah it has a note mode for ableton so all the clip launch buttons change to notes to be used as a midi instrument when selected. this mode however doesnt seem to have any impact on traktor and im using in dummy mode. Im going to have another look at it tonight as didnt really have enough time to test it properly other than just when i was mapping it. It shouldnt be a problem i hope.
