I believe there are a few different threads on the forums actually comparing both of those among other cans. It has a lot of opinions and has other interesting information as well.

Quite a few other threads on various sites about this too -- try this link for more: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=tma-1+vs+hd-25

Consensus seems to be that both are excellent sounding; the Senns might be better for production but possibly a bit less "fun" to listen to as they are more clinically accurate while the TMAs are more colorful, especially in the low end. I have the TMAs and absolutely adore them but had they not come out when they did I am sure I would have ended up buying the Senns.

In an attempt to reinforce bad behavior of completely ignoring the search button…

I have the senns and love them. I wouldn't replace them with the TMA-1s. I'd either get cheaper headphones or IEMs if I bought something else…by that, I mean I'm shopping for IEMs at some point.

HD25's you can replace everything, so theyre near un-breakable, the tma's after a few times in and out the gig bag look really scuffed and lose their classy look, both sound amazing, but tbh id go for the senns unless you get a really good deal on the TMA's

I use the HD 25s.. I think they're really amazing. Every time I have people put them on they ask me if they have noise reduction and I just smile. I want to try the TMA-1s. I think the only downfall of the HD 25s is the headphone cable. Mine is really low gauge. I have seen other people's and they look just like the TMAs, mine look like something right out of a $30 headphone. Granted there is no performance difference.

imo the ONLY bad thing i see about TMA-1 is the fact that they tend to fall of your head easily. They are not as "tight" as the HD25. That's the only thing i regret about them, but beside that they are just awesome.
