Default Traktor Audio 6 with Traktor Scratch Pro

    Hi,

I'm running Traktor Scratch Pro 1.2.7 with an old Audio 4 Dj and the Traktor Audio 10 caught my eye and I was wondering whether anyone has tried the Traktor Audio 6 or 10 with TSP 1.2.7 using DVS? I tried the demo for Traktor 2 and it managed to put a lesser strain on my laptop so I'd like to avoid the upgrade.

    Cheers.

Probably work fine... What were your problems with Pro 2?

I have a Unibody Macbook (Late 2008 model.. aluminium), C2D 2.4Ghz, 4GB RAM. Apparently this is a dated laptop seeing as the exhaust fan started spinning faster when I tried the Traktor 2 demo, this doesn't happen when I use my old TSP. It's weird really seeing as the T2 specs suggest that I should be able to run it on my laptop without any strain.

So I just have to install the appropriate driver to get the Audio 10 working with 1.2.7?

I assume so. Did you have your latency set too low? And have you emptied the dust out of your macbook at all? I have a friend with a 5+ year old MBP that's running TP2 fine at low latency.

It's funny you should mention the dust, I actually opened it up yesterday and cleaned the fan and the heatsink from quite a bit of dust. I haven't really tweaked too much with the latency so I'm sure it isn't set too low. Granted, the fan didn't reach the 2400+RPMs as quickly as it did before the dust removal and it is running fine but I'm far more comfortable using the older TSP where my fan doesnt go berserk. I do like the new waveform of the T2 demo but I'm not so sure that i want to upgrade if it strains my laptop.
