    Talking My MPK MINI Mapping

    still a work in progress

    but I thought I'd share, even though mine has issues w/ pads acting on there own, others do not, and its pretty awesome still for only $75 + s/h

    thinking of eliminating filter knob (definitely eliminating vol. knob hah) and the hi/mid/lo and adding more effects controls.

    anyone know or can point me in the right direction to setting up the knobs so that they contol any effect I select in traktor instead of a pre-defined effect?

    here's the mpk mini midi presets u need to upload to the controller

    please let me know how you think I could better this setup.

    edit:

    known issues:

    to play track you need to press shift.2 + play, shift.2 is also nudge -, so the track moves when u do so, causing to go out of sync, just tap the sync button again for now til i work around that.

    filter knob: like the image says you need to rotate ful left then right ... back to middle prior to activating filter for it to work correctly, otherwise you will jump in at a random rotation.

    effects:
    drama sweep / echo frz works fine (drama sweep is alway on w/ the knob)
    but beatmasher will start near the middle after drama sweep has been initiated on the track, need to to a full rotation right then left to clear this.

    anyone know of a way to get around that issue plz let me know.

    ----
    this last issue is more of a software one than a mapping one, once you have blending and gone on to the next track I would recommend un-syncing that track, if you do not u run the risk of the track slowing down or speeding up to the original tempo once you stop the previous track, I believe this has to do w/ having the clock set to auto.

    EDIT
    EDIT

    image is labeled wrong for the effects
    DECK A = 1 & 3
    DECK B = 2 & 4
    Sorry for the confusion

    Nice! When you map the FX you have an FX select that tells it what effect to load.

    thanks!

    I understand this, however what I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to say assign the first knob to browse through effects(maybe a set of chained presets?) and have the other three adjust there paramters respectively.

    maybe Im just dreaming heh

    thank you for going to the time to make this map and post it, i was looking around and trying to figure things out myself, becoming increasingly frustrated. it pretty much works for me, except that pad 3 is turning the main volume down in addition to its hotcue function. also i cant seem to get the filters to work. i am trying to use my mpk mini in conjunction with my reloop dj2. thanks

    Default New files!!!

    so I've changed a few things, dont have a visual representation yet.

    got rid of filter.

    knobs from the left(top row Deck A bottom Deck B) are

    1.beat slicer preset chop, not sure of the actual chop setting.

    2.white noise build up, still set up to echo off w/ the same key on the keyboard +shift...note this is no longer the last key on the right for DeCK B, it is the one just to the let of it)
    //other shift + knob function = hi-kill

    3.beatmasher from 0-127 (u have to go to max then back to min before it will go all the way from 0-127 for some reason, never worked that out)
    //other shift + knob function = mid-kill

    4.flanger
    //other shift + knob function = low-kill

    ...

    start/stop track no longer use's shift.

    also if you hit first 2 black keys(from the left) in each deck's key section, that switches specified deck to MASTER.

    ALSO THE PADS ARE SET-UP TO MATCH THE NUMBERS ON THE ACTUAL MINI,
    I.E. TOP ROW = CUES 5/6/7/8 BOTTOM ROW = 1/2/3/4

    I hop that comes across ok.. when i get some time I'll up a new image explaining everything.

    here's the aka file you'll need to upoad to the mpkmini in order for it to match up to the attach .TSI file.
