How to map ;Sample Deck play' To X1

So, my mapping is going great guns now, just hit a snag though -

I'd like to have 4 buttons on my X1 to -

Load sample from Deck
Play/stop Sample

So that when i press the button, it takes the loop from Deck A, drops it into Sample slot 1, and starts playback of it automatically. Then i can press that same button to stop the sample.

I've been on it for hours trying to get it to work but i'm missing something somewhere.

Its like its a conflict of interests because i can get it to load the loop from Deck A into slot 1 no problem, but i can't get it to playback automatically - And everytime i press the button it keeps taking a new sample loop from Deck A.

I know it can be done because it was done on the S4 and on /native instruments own 'Addon mapping.tsi'

Any help would really be appreciated!

You need to use the modifier "slot state" corresponding for each sample slot.

Think the states were:
0 = empty
1 = loaded/stopped
2 = playing

I'm wanting to do the Add on mapping but as a midi mapping so that I can switch between the NHL and midi mapping on the x1. In theory if I just mirror the NHL mapping as a midi mapping will it respond the same?
