Default Hook Up Turntables To Numark Omni ?

Hi all a quick question. Can you hook up turntables to the numark omni, I have been told you can, but there seems to be a lot of misleading info on the net.

    Thanks in advance guys.

see I didnt think you could, theres only two outputs. But someone said you could and iv'e been trying to figure out how.

I was hoping to use it as a replacement for an audio 2 or audio 8, and still have a mixer aswell.

    Oh well

    Thanks man.

That's just it, you can use it with TTs as long as you have another audio interface with inputs. Not very helpful in your case. If you want to run timecode you'll need a DVS system anyway, and they generally come with interfaces (ie Traktor Scratch Pro, SSL).

Hercules RMX can be used to control timecode on 'cracked / illegal' versions of Traktor. It is mega dodgey as there is a substantial lag between starting the record and the track to start playing which becomes a lot more noticable when scratching as the record will start jumping.

We just got an audio 4, looking to upgrade to an audio 8 in the near future and ditch our RMX for a second hand mixer + an X1 (controlling decks C+D). Never looking back since we got our NI interface, as the audio latency is very small (5ms, compared to the RMX 10ms).
