Default Audio pops & crackles with s4 & MacBook

Did anyone else encounter this problem?

It doesn't matter if I use the s4 with Traktor or just as a soundcard for my MacBookPro, every two-three minutes or so there is some tiny pops coming from the speakers. They're not very loud, just some short high frequency cracks.. I checked with headphones as well to see if it's the speakers - nope, same story.

It's not a performance problem of my laptop, so I have the feeling it is some hardware error on the s4. Also, it happens with or without the electricity supply for the s4 plugged in.

Also, the s4 causes a massive pop when it's turned on, so that I always make sure that my (active) speakers are turned off before the s4 is turned on.

In case that the voltage plays a role, I'm located in Europe (Germany)

Have not seen that. What is the audio latency set to in the Traktor settings area?

Also what are the specs of the computer driving the setup?

MacBook Pro Mid 2010.. I think I can rule out performance issues since it also happens if the kontrol s4 is not performing with traktor but is used as a soundcard only. If noone else has encountered this it's probably an issue with my s4, seems I'll have to send it in.. blegh

Do you have the most current driver installed?
    Traktor Kontrol Z2 | (2) Pioneer CDJ-2000 | Traktor Kontrol X1 | Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6
    MacBook Pro | Sennheiser HD25-1 II | (2) EV ELX115P | EV ELX112P | (2) EV ELX118P

Have you tried alternate USB ports? Also what is your latency set to inside Traktor settings.

Latency in Traktor is set to standard value (512ms at 44.1k) but as I said it also happens when in 'stand-alone soundcard mode'. I get the feeling this issue might be related to the rather old electricity wiring in my house. Will try to replicate the issue elsewhere and get back on this..

    regards

I know people are experiencing the same thing with windows laptops when their wi-fi is turned on. Try disabling that and see if it goes away maybe
