Default Remap sample buttons to "instant gratification" EFX

I've been tearing my hair out trying to do this,
I want to reassign the sample buttons to an "instant gratification".
    type FX set up.
I turned decks C and D into live inputs so as to deactivate the sample decks.
But then as you probably know the reassign themselves as "Jump" buttons.

Anyhow I'm sure if it is possible it wont be that hard I just need a little help.
    Ideas anyone?
    Thanks heaps in advance!

There's an option so you can reassign yourselves how those buttons react in the s4's preferences. What you could try (but that's only a guess, I didn't try it myself and actually I'm not sure it's a good idea using other functions moving the 'sound'/track) is to set those buttons as beatjumps and negate each functions with the opposite. So for example if the buttons makes the beat to jump backwards 4 beats, you add the related functions to move forward 4 beats (you may also need to add all the related functions to set up correctly the move, like the move mode, etc...).
Try with that to see how the software reacts, if that counter the original beatjumps functions. Once again I wouldn't recommend it.

If that works you need also to create the modifiers that have an impact on the sample play buttons and all related modifiers (shift, browse mode, etc...). Unless your mapping would not be correct.

If all the above is ok, you can map your fx functions there.

Simpler, use the midi mode layer as a blank canvas.

There’s also an almost hermetic community that exists in many areas of dance music, where serious hobbyists feed off each other’s expertise but barely connect to the industry – despite many of those involved actually working in it.

    Thanks heaps for the reply.
I actually just remapped them by using the shift key as a modifier.
Pretty simple in the scheme of things =)
    Perfect for what I'm doing.

    Hi there LeeZer,
    Here's the .tsi file.
    https://www.yousendit.com/download/T...dVV6NExLd01UQw
it's really simple, but for what I do it's great!
BTW I accidentally saved the file with the "Gater" switched on =)
Also FYI this is a 2 deck set up with the other 2 deck set to live input, this autimatically releases the sample buttons and turns then into Cue buttons.
Anyhow I'm sure it will become clear as you open the mapping.
    All the best
