Default Moving S4 and library from windows to mac

Planning to move my S4 from PC (HP Win7) to a Apple Pro 17 inch (SSD 256 Gb, 8 Gb RAM, 3,06 GHz dual core) for increased stability.

Question 1: Has anyone done this and did it work out well?

Worries about my 186 Gb with 6000+ of tracks, filled with beatgrids, loops and all kind of cue-points.

Question 2:Will all data in the tracks stay in exactly right places when moving library and file-structure? (All tracks are WAV and heavy MP3:s.)

As far as I understand the moving-process, I will put all the tracks on an external drive and copy the whole Native Instruments folder from documents at the PC.

Then reinstall the tracks at the Apple Pro and then put the Native Instruments folder where it should be in the Apple Pro (have not done the installation if Traktor on the Apple Pro yet so I don’t know the exact location).

At last point Traktor to it in preferences and replace the new NI folder with the backed up one.

    Should be working, right?!

    (I do not use Itunes.)

    Default Did it work?

Did the approach that you lined out in your post work?

Just purchased a Macbook myself, because i want a dedicated machine for DJ:ing, Im afraid that one day I have installed something that will make Traktor, or the sound card not work, and Ill find out minutes before a gig .

Going to transfer the library from my old Laptop to the mac, looking through the forums, trying to get some input

Have not done the transition yet. To much work and not enough time to buy a macbook pro.
Pls, give me a wink if you find a thread somewhere about this in the forum.
