    Default Good USB Powered Mixer?

    Hi,

    So here's my situation. Just bought a novation launchpad and I want a dedicated mixer. I'm thinking korg nanokontrol, but I'd like to know what are some other options? Thanks!

    Cheers,
    Patrick

    First, you want to learn the difference between a mixer and a controller.

    Second, you want to tell us what you're hoping to accomplish. The nanokontrol might be perfect for what you're doing.

    So could this.

    More details -> Better answers.

    sure, sorry about that and thanks for your quick response. I'd like something that would be able to let me control 3 EQ settings: low, mid, high. My only quip with the nanokontrol is that in only has one knob. aside from getting something like a hercules mk4 or rmx, what other options would i have? I've seen the novation nocturn, or maybe the zero sl mkII? thanks again

    A&H Xone:K2 (when its released), NI Kontrol X1, akai LPD8... etc. The controller would really depend on what you're trying to accomplish.

    If you're looking for a cheap and quick solution check out the M-audio x-session pro (Also known as the torq mixlab in some cases). I've seen them second hand for as little as $30 usd on this forum and cheaper on craigslist. A fair bit of controller considering the price, plus it's lay out is that of a dj mixer.

    thanks guys, I've heard great things about the x session pro/torq mix lab. a couple of questions though:

    1. won't I need a sound card?
    2. Is there a difference between the two? (x session pro/torq mixlab)

    Thanks!
