Numark Turntables?

Ok im getting ready to get some tables to accommodate my S4, and i was looking at the TTX1 and i realized they are kinda hard to find for some reason but the USB version is easy to come by. Some reviews say the USB version is good for scratching while others say it sucks for scratching and is only good for mixing. Im looking for something decent to scratch on but mostly mixing. Ideas?

I wouldn't. The Numarks feel so damn cheap. I would look for some used 1200s.

yeah but the cheapest pair of 1200s i can find is 1200+ and I have too much goin on to drop that kind of cash really . im just starting out using vinyl (been using a mixtrack till recently upgraded to S4) So im just looking for a decent turntable to get the real feel with

Yep agree with that my gripes with my tt500s where the pitch faders felt like shit and had a habit of sticking the motors had a habit of speeding up and acting madly and a load more stuff !

Not had a problem with tt200, apart from the motor is obviously less tourquey then a Technics, not a problem, just make sure the slip mat does what it says on the tin.
Zero problems with dodgy pitch or sticky pitch sliders here

For £50 second hand you cant knock them, really, unless you get an abused one

yeah but like i said, i would love technics because thats whats getting me into trying out vinyl. (i love controllerism) But i don't really want to throw that much money into it especially if im not that into in and just stick with the S4 and my midi fighter. Do you know if the TTXUSB is decent for beginner turntablist? i mean if its just for listening to records then I'm not gonna worry about it ill get something like the Stanton T.62 or a St.150. I mean i know technics are the best there are but they arent the ONLY good turntable

U-31 you have some TT200's? Would they be good to kinda get a feel for vinyl and see if i want to go DVS or just stay digital?

Stanton ST 150 is a really good solid performer, more pricey then Numark tho..

Actually they are. For real. Either save up for Technics, or just don't bother, because whatever cheap turntable you buy, you WILL get rid of to get 1200s. Trust me; i've seen two very close friends (and very good DJs) get TT200s, and they both dumped them less than 3 months later for 1200s. Just keep checking Craigslist; something WILL come up. I just found one about an hour away for $150, so deals are out there...

Perfect for that, mate, great for scratching ( but i cant scratch me arse with both hands)
Only mod ive made is an Ortofon Concord Pro S cart & Stylus, and a really slippy plastic shopping bag cut to 12" diameter and placed under the mat.

I swore id never touch vinyl again for mixing, but if you look at the stuff i play on my mixcloud pages, it aint out there digitally so its Wax only and rip it myself... Then of course you get to thinking... why should i bother ripping when i got the original on wax?

Loads of the stuff i record at home is mixed via analogue mixer with TT decks in 2 channels and the two outs from the midi in to the other two channels..
You could of course do this with a 2 channel mixer and flick the line / phono switch as required
