How does S4 stack up against other Dj Controllers?

My friend just bought an S4 and i am interested in getting my dj game having produced a couple of tracks.

I am just wondering if i am getting my best bang for my buck with the S4. How do they compare to numarks?

I am also a new learner so take that into consideration.
