S2 tempo problem. Help!

Hi everyone

Just recieved my S2 and after installing the software and plugging everything in when i press play the song plays really really really quiet and fast. The bpm says the songs at 128 but its going wayyy faster then that.

Im a complete beginner this is my first day with a real controller if anyone could help id appreciate it

if it helps anyone the female output 1 feels really resistant when i try to put the cable in. output 2 slides right in but i have to struggle to get output 1 in. hopefully this isnt a hardware issue im really starting to worry.
