Change LED color of Novation Launchpad

Hey, guys!
So my question is:

Have anyone ever thought of changing the color of Launchpad LEDs?
I really love what Novation did with this controller. A tremendous work, but
i also really don't like this boring red/green/yellow layout.

Okay, you can easily paint the case any color you like, no problem.

But does anyone know how the LED color could be changed?
For example, i wish it was cyan/magenta/white instead of green/red/yellow.

Also i never did diggin' in chips of any kind.

So if anyone has ideas or even a clear plan, please let me know!

it should work somehow with the right LEDs and a lot of soldering..

i havent seen a pic of the inside of a launchpad thoug)..
