    Default Modding the Xone 4D

Does anyone have experiences with modding this beast? What I would like to do, since the 4D is like the Xone 92 minus 4-band EQ with an USB soundcard, is to remove those 1D's on both sides of the mixer. But with the circuitting etc. I don't know if this is possible...

Crazzzzzzzzzy idea dude ... get a 92 if you want a 92 + sound card, no point in trying to turn an awesome $2500 controller/soundcard/mixer into a $1400 sound card mixer is there ?

    Or else get:

    +

And when everything goes pear shaped ... say ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

There's no way that's possible. And why the hell would you want to do that anyways...

Yeah sorry man totally against the idea!

    Save for a DB4!

Do you need/want Traktor TC control? If you do you're better off buying a DJM900 Nexus.

Well, the Xone 4D is the 'cheapest' Xone mixer here (except from the 22, 42, 62). It's only € 1.200 NEW where the Xone 92 is € 1.400 and the DB2 € 1.500. And after reconsideration, there's no need to get rid of the 1Ds on both sides, I'll just map them to Ableton and use my X1 next to it (would like some LED feedback for Traktor).

I actually think it's possible if its not built on one circuit board.
And as 1D is sold separately too then it's probably a mashup between a mixer and controllers.
It sure is a way to have a unique mixer haha.
Open it up and show us some pictures.
