no reason why not... you can't change the type of a mapping from midi to keyboard tho so i guess you'd need to printout or make notes on the midifighter mapping and then manually create a keyboard mapping from scratch based on it. i'm sure people must have done something similar before? tho i don't tend to take much notice of keyboard mappings so not sure.

tricky i guess... the tsi will be pretty big and complex so not all that easy to digest. the essence tho will just be to map several controls to each beatmasher button, to select the beatmasher effect, turn the effect on, enable the effect unit for the chosen deck and set whatever parameter(s) u want for the beatmasher (pretty sure the official mapping will just use it in group mode so u only have the one dial to set anyway). also don't forget to map the fx unit dry/wet.

once u have one button done then copy all those controls to a new button and basically just tweak that one param for the effect.

I did the same thing for using deckalized and gratification mapping on my keyboard like a year ago.
You have to use a keystroke to midi converter (like bomepro) and assign to the keyboard buttons the respective note of the beat masher buttons!
Then you have to delete the "out"s from the tsi because you don't have leds on the keyboard (lol) and you are ready to go
It's way way easier than starting a new tsi (and in this way you use the original one)
    Traktor S2 . Traktor X1 . Traktor F1 (in UPS hands atm) . MBP . TP2 . Reloop Rhp-10 .

    Soundcloud.
    Gone Vci 100 se arcade edition . Audio 2DJ . Launchpad . RMX . lpd8 .

Whoa, whoa, it's easier than that. In the controller manager in traktor just click Add > Generic Keyboard. That'll look for any keyboards you're using, the one built in to your laptop, usb, whatever. I built a couple of maps for my keyboard before I had a midi controller. If you hit learn then press a key, you'll see it gets mapped correctly. I think I might have posted my keyboard mapping a while back, it had some pretty sweet features, I think it was called the SuperKB.

As for the control layering, yeah, each key will need to have 3 or 4 controls assigned to it to activate the FX, then change the value. The Instant Gratification mapping I'm sure was a product of lots of testing and fine tuning to figure out the values that sound the best, so you can just experiment.
