    Default Guitar-like Turntable controllers...

I was on *ahem* another site, today and they reviewed a creation of Kodh's SCRxTCH which is basically a crossfader bolted to a turntable and slung over the neck of the DJ. It's an interesting concept, but in the notes section, I found that Vestax already makes something like it called the "Groovecaster." Neither of these designs really looks "cool" per se, nor as functional as a modern controller, so I immediately thought how much cooler it would be with a MidiFighter 3D somehow fused into it. Anytime you make something that makes music large and circular with a stick hanging out of it, you're going to get some reference to a Banjo. So I figured, why not let the guys at DJ Techtools know about this so they can make their own full-tilt controller (and so Ean can take his Guitar Hero skills to the next level)?

You really dont see that it is possible already to mod this. Basically you just are gonna wire the 4 different banks buttons to a neck like on the guitar. Then the buttons on the neck act like a fret. And your able to tilt the "guitar fighter 3d" to add effects when pressing the buttons

OT: speaking of that how awesome would it be to have a band that played only midifighters

I thought it would be the perfect controller for Ean's crew to make out of the MidiFighter 3D... IMO, the USB cord was the only weak point of the MidiFighter 3D and since this interface is slung over the shoulder of the DJ, it'd be almost like a guitarist plugging in their patch cord. I suppose I could make an illustration if Ean (or crew) is interested. Personally, I'd put a circular saw blade in place of the record (since I don't think the record-like thing is actually used in the scratching process) or make it look like a chainsaw and call it "the Shredder"... throw some touch strips, blinky lights and a toggle switch for deck one and deck two (or more) and BINGO!
