Default Novation Twitch as FX unit.

    Hey guys.
I plan to buy a twodeck controller and remap it and use it like an FX unit.
I play timecoded on cdj's and i have a LPD8 as FX thingy but i feel its a bit small and i stumbled over the Novation Twitch wich brought me the idea of a controller as a dedicated FX unit.

Is there anyone who is familiar with the thought or use the Twitch (or any other controller) as a dedicated FX unit.
I mean, completly remapped, i dont want to use it for mixing, just que juggling, inst. grat. FX, FX knobs, fader fx.

I use Traktor pro 2.5 on a macbook pro.

You can do that no problem, there are no rules to mapping controllers.

Suggest you start with the viper map, maybe the older one (new one has more transport stuff for deck C/D, would require more remapping) and remap the EQs, then anything else you don't deem necessary.

do you consider any other controller like the s2 or a vci to be more appropriate controller?

I was using a BCD 3000 as an FX unit until I got an X1. Pair that up with a F1 and you should be mint!
