MIDI Fighter or Kontrol F1? What does each excel with?

So.
I'm really really new to DJing, only been active for about 4.5 weeks. I'm currently using only a Traktor Kontrol S2, Traktor Pro 2.5, and KRK Rokit 5s (have already worked one fraternity party, cause I'm just a college kid, and they provided the PA system and some odd large EQ device for extra control).

Now I'm not trying to get ya to go and listen to my stuff or advertise/spam or anything, but here's my soundcloud IF you think listening to what I've got + reading what I have to say will = a more..."informed?" response..

Anyways.
Being so new, I've mostly been working on beatmatching, doing sets/mixes, and really really basic stuff. But I've toyed around a bit and have been really interested in remixing and mashups. I put one up on my soundcloud (two sort of) and I used the sample decks but it was really hard to honestly utilize it without any sort of controller.

I'm decently proud of that mashup, but I feel like I can really expand and get creative if I have more analog/MIDI control over traktor and its functions.

So finally, my question is this:
I'm looking into buying either a MIDI fighter or Kontrol F1, in hopes of being able to live remix/mashup and use a lot of loops or single shot samples. Which is better for my situation, do you think, or which is the better device in general??

I may be able to answer that on my own if somebody coud really explain to me what the MIDI fighter is and how it is possible to use it in a setup. It looks really cool, and tons of fun, but I've never been really sure how it's to be implemented in a set? Same with the F1.
Sure I can read all about them, but I do really well when people sorta explain it in laymans terms.

If I need to clear anything up, lemme know.

Look forward to hearing what people have to say, I'm having immense fun with this hobby right now and I hope with a better understanding of the hardware I'm interested in, I can turn this into more of profession as time goes!

Well basically the mf in its default mapping controls loops, hot cues, effects and other things like that. The F1 in its defaul mapping controls the remix decks which turns traktors decks c+d into ableton clips in their own way

If u dont need volume faders or filters for the remix deck go for the mf3d!!!!!!!

reviving an old thread because id like to hear more opinions about the two. looking to buy one to mess around with mad zachs pack.

specifically the midi fighter pro in comparison to kontrol f1

Any Midi Fighter is a better choice for mad zach's sound packs (and drumming / drum racks in general) than F1s.

For the Mad Zach`s pack MF are way better!! I use my clasic and the response and feel its better than on the F1 (that i also have)!!!!

Slots triggering and really using the Remix decks like ableton -> F1

You NEED the volume faders man or you have to adjust every bloody sound/loop before using it.
I'm constantly using them to adjust the sound, that the drumloop match the percussion, the vocals can't be too loud etc..

Because your looking for what is best for live mashups --> F1

If you really want to go further and remix songs or produce higher quality mashups, get a DAW like Ableton , Logic ect. and go that way instead.

Midi Fighter Pro is great for both sides as well. It has two assignable volume faders as well if I'm not mistaken.

Hey yall, ive been searching for an answer and havent found it on other posts. how does the midi fighter pro compare in all this? i mean it does have the extra faders and knobs correct? what is its potential for controlling the remix decks in traktor? i guess what im really looking for is. is the midi fighter pro a better contendor vs the f1?
