Default Olympics - UK - Bloody Good Stuff

Well I'm going to say it!!!!

UK = Centre of of the World right now and a f'ing good opening show it was too!

Danny Boyle & Underworld on music duties, superb opening ceremony, poignant, respectful, celebration of UK culture, technology, music and the British attitude of inclusion of all peoples.... spot the fucking dog on.

    I'm off for a stiff G&T...

UK tis the best right now....

Paul McCartney played a pre-recorded set without asking Steve Angello. Copyright infringement ?

Nice spectacle, but I'm not patriotic in the slightest so I don't take any pride from it. If anything I'm hacked off my taxes went on that ridiculous firework display... if they'd have let me keep the money I'd have spent it on something useful, like a toothbrush or some deodorant...

You don't have enough money to buy a toothbrush or deodorant?

I certainly do. I'm merely making the point that I will take zero enjoyment from the Olympics, so I'm annoyed about having to contribute to it without the option.

completely agree - was a fantastic show, Boyle's best work by far, which is saying something. the sight of those chimneys coming up out of the green country side inside the stadium was fantastic. proud to be british!
