Default Post Your Favorite Music Phone Apps

Post the app name and what it does.

Digitally Imported (DI) Radio- edm radio with lots of genre channels

Discovr Music- type in an artist you like and it will lead you to other similar artists, which you can then see artists similar to them, and on and on

Jukebox Hits and BingMusic (top 100 by Year)- find popular music by charts. Juke box also charts iTunes and lastfm

BPM Monitor- listens to a tune a tells you the BPM

All of these apps are free (or were free when I got them)

Other apps you probably already know about iMaschine, Beatport. Soundcloud, DJ City(music pool)

    Now show me yours

i pretty much just use Pandora for the most part. lame i know but it helps find new tunes sometimes

pandora is like Digitally Imported that you mentioned. You put in a genre or artist and it makes a radio station based on that information.

Pandora is a nice app I use it also.

I need to try an EQ app as I hate the iTunes EQ and never use it.

That's why I started the thread. To discover good music related apps I didn't have or know about. So let's see some more.

Sir Sampleton - Lets you sample anything in real time and play it back on a keyboard on your screen.

Isn't really good for much but its fun to waste time and mess around with
    Xone:42, Kontrol X1 x2, MBP

Sir Sampleton could be quite useful with iRig and a keyboard.

Songza is an interesting variation of the Pandora type music app. I'm going to give it a whirl.

(I myself don't have a smartphone, but) Spotify - Music service that acts like iTunes, but you can listen to any music, even music that isn't your own. You can add it to your library and listen whenever, wherever.

Spotify Radio - Free radio app from Spotify with no restrictions (IIRC)
