    I want something like ReFx Nexus for a while until i get the money to buy nexus.

    Just search on the net for ROM Synthesizers, I'm not familiar with them so I don't know any other then Nexus

    But if I can add my 2 cents go for something that you can do your own shit on rather than having to collect rom's and all that. Have a look at Sylenth1 man. It allows you to have your create your own synthesis and has all the inbuilt effects Nexus has.

    If you can learn to create the sounds you want you'll be a much better producer and you wont have to spend hours going through presets to find a single sound you're looking for.

    No, Nexus is just a sound bank that has a bunch of preset sounds with limited options for editing and FX

    I personally like reFx Nexus though I use the editing, FX, and DAW plugins to change the sound quite a bit. I am not too sure about free ones but I also love Native Instrument's Massive: lots of options to change sounds, make weird effects, and sounds brilliant.
