Default My ears are burnt out on this track... fresh look needed. Psy Break

I am posting the track here because I really am looking for production advice. This is the production forum so there it is.

I re-worked the bass for a completely different feel on this one. I think the mix-down is better on this.. but I have just listened way too much working on this track. I can't tell if the basslines are monotonous as hell or fit alright. I can't tell if I am pleased with the track or it is total crap. Irrelevant perhaps what I think of my own track... however I just want a fresh perspective. Although I have messed with music for years.. I have been producing seriously for about a year.

Take a listen if you want, give some help to a music lover..

Change the snare out, put a bit reverb on it too, or maybe it might just be a bit loud.

Thank you for the thoughts. I did lower the snare and it sounded better, thanks for the perspective.

I replaced the file and the same link now if for the lower snare and a little different mix.

I'm not really familiar with that genre so I can't speak to that.

Overall the production sounds pretty good from a technical standpoint. I know that I very rarely hear "kick-snare-kick-snare" beats for basic 4 on the floor patterns. Usually it's kick-kick/snare-kick-kick/snare. Sometimes kick-snare-kick-snare can sound a little dated and repetitive but if you add a kick over the snare it has that "driving" feeling.

Yeah, not sounding bad at all.

I would change the bass up a bit, just for some movement, somewhere towards the end of the track.

This will help wrap it up I rate.
