Default Pioneer DJM-T1 Traktor Scratch Mixer Price Drop

Seems that the NI Traktor Z2 has put some pressure on and as a result the price of Pioneer's Traktor Certified scratch mixer, the DJM-T1, has been lowered to compete. Decks.co.uk changed their price to £529 which to me seems really reasonable.

It's now half the price it was at launch (cheaper than the Z2) and now comes with TScratch Pro rather than TScratch Duo. Looks like a real winner- the price and the TScratch Duo licence looked like the only drawbacks to me.

P.S. sorry if there already is a DJM T1 thread, I couldn't find it.

Nah, you're good starting this one.

I was honestly thinking the same thing. Even if you do an upgrade to T(S)P2 it would still be a nice price.
(And to be honest, you'd be well enough off with the Duo variant if you're keeping it old school. )

I imagine when you put in your Scratch Duo licence key in the service centre it just gives you Scratch Pro since Duo has been retired.

With such a price drop...it seems to be a viable alternative to the Z2...I've only really heard positive things from T1 owners regarding its quality...so maybe it's worthwhile for those that are in the market...i'm not in the market for a new mixer....definitely not.....

This is a good point, but I really can't tell?

I've been considering getting one, it seems like a dope mixer.

You can get a 'blemished' one for $629 at zsounds....thats a really good deal.

Although if you factor in a 15% guitar center discount to the z2 it comes out around 620.

I bet they just have a massive inventory for this product that they realize they need to offload. I feel pretty bad for the djm t1 owners that purchased at release, pretty shady move on pioneers part.

Especially knowing that they are still making profit after cutting the price in half.
