would the audio 8 hold well for medium sized rave events with the occasional club use? or should i go with a firewire soundcard?
i apologize if this has been answered, i did a search but no results.
thanks in advance.

Odds on this getting moved by Bento to the General Discussion forum, and sitting right alongside the thread after identical info that I started yesterday
Pretty high ...
(oh and I've got a M-Audio Audiophile FW card going on sale on eBay on Saturday if that's the way you decide to go)
Traktor Scratch Pro 2/Serato SL1/Ecler NUO 3.0/VCI 100 SE/2 x Technics 1210 Mk2/Sennheiser HD25 II/Novation Dicers
ah sorry mate i was searching in this section. my bad.
either or will do you just fine.
The audio 8 has more audio ins and outs.
But the audiophile has midi in and out, which can be really handy to have.
or presonus firebox.
but really there are tons of threads on soundcards.
Yeah. Your best bet is to explore all of your options, and choose the one that best suits you.
i use the DJ IO numark thing its cheap it ain't made of much so it don't break and i have put it in to some big sound systems and it worked sweet and it works on my pc desktop and my mac book pro. I play out at clubs on internet radio, its not let me down yet.
There seems to be alot of confusion that you need a 'powerful' sound system to hook into a big PA at a club or festival. This is not true. Yes, you want a card that will output a quality sound, but at most, its only going to be line level output, and the amp will be doing most of the work.
Its just as important (if not more so) to make sure your music is ripped to a decent quality.
In the past I've gigged using a cheapo soundblaster 5.1 card and its been absolutely perfect.
