Default Problems with S2 track preparation mappings - please help

Hi all, after months of computer problems i'm finally up and running again, "eager" to start prepping the millions of tracks i need to prepare, however i'm getting more and more frustrated that I can't get this to work at all. I've spent all day on this mapping without success....Its the first mapping i've really dabbled in, so admittedly could be making some rookie errors!

The main problem is that everything starts well enough, but the minute i push the cogwheel to skip a bit of the track the metronome seems to go completely out of sync with the song and no matter how much i move the two knobs I can't seem to get it right again - However, watching Ean's video when he pushes the jog wheel forward it carries on perfectly in time,...something must be up...

I have set the in-port of the Kontrol S2 default mapping to "None" so that can't be the problem. I've analysed tracks and put them into a tractor preparation playlist, so not playing them from an iTunes playlist. I'm using traktor 2.1.3 if it makes any difference.

HELP! thanks a lot!! getting desperate!

one thing that keeps happening that's really annoying is that when i load a new track the beatgrid placed is normally fine, after I've checked all along the track I go back to the beginning and press the 1 button to add a load marker as Ean does in the video but this then changes the beat grid to an incorrect one, so I have to start again. I can generally get it right after a few attempts but it always involves having too have a 1 load cue point and a 2 cue point on the same spot, really odd! in the clip he just presses the one and doesn't even need to check the beat grid is the same.

That part is one of traktor tricky mappings, where you find a way take advantage of software bug for mapping purpose. In most times it'll work but you can't rely on it. Especially with every new updates coming...
