I have Maschine already and I build songs first in there, then finish them in Logic 9.
My recently purchased Akai Max49 now has 12 Pads waiting to be used. Ideas?!

as far as the jamming/live side of things It'd be useful to use them to trigger chords or sfx. if you've got the chords triggered from those you free up your hands for finger drumming/playing keys. Even if you've got ambient stuff in the back or your rises and stuff makes life easy.

I would definitely put some builds and breakdowns. simple pads. Things like that.
