Scouting for a synth controller as well as Traktor controller

Hey all,

I'm trying to find some sort of solution to let me get one controller, that'll work for Traktor functionality and also for a synth I have. I love Akai's LPD8; cheap, sweet, and simple. The problem is, the usb connection works fine for my pc, but the synth I'm using has a regular, full size MIDI input. I'm fairly new to the MIDI control world, can anyone think of an option to kind of bridge this? Software, another controller, something totally weird that I would never have thought about,

I can't intuitively think of how I'd route a USB MIDI signal through and out to the Keyboard (which is also interfacing with my laptop via USB, but ideally I want it to standalone with an external controller. might have to comprimise though). I have Jack Audio, but I'm not too familiar with using it, nor am I even aware of whether it'd be capable of a task like that.
