BPM not syncing correctly

I have two tracks both about the same bpm. One is a 4/4 beat and the other is more breakbeat but still keeps the 4/4 time. When trying to sync the two tracks Traktor automatically slows the breaks track all the way down to -26 pitch.

I have no idea what happened.

If this were wax I could match these beats up with ease. I am sure I am just missing a setting? Right?

Do not trust the automatically generated BPM, especially on breakbeat and especially fast tracks.

Tap out the BPM yourself until you get the 100% lock and go from there. Set the track to +0, start playing it and tap the BPM "tap" button in time with the beat you hear until it reads "100%". Then stop tapping. Simple as that!

Oh, and make sure you get Traktor to unload the track properly so that your hard won BPM info is written out to disk. And back up your "Traktor" folder from time to time. And call your Mother, she'd appreciate it.
