Midi fighter 3D as a Step Sequencer

Hello,

i want to know if it's possible to use the midi fighter 3d as a step sequencer in ableton coupled with traktor.

I want to DJ with traktor and sprinkle in some own sounds.

Is this possible?

there are m4l patches that turn any 16 button grid into a sequencer, you could try adapting that to your 3D.

Yeah I have already seen it, but it doesn't work with ableton 8 and max4live 6 i think..

i mean the file on djtt

i just started building up a framework for a sequencer in Live - just using dummy clips at the moment..




reading up on Live's API on the side... anyone here have any/much experience with that?

What parts of the LiveAPI are you having trouble with? Was it manipulating clip data? I can send you some example patches if you want
