AKAI LPD8 Traktor Mapping by Jülz

Here is my custom mapping for the Akai LPD8. It uses 3 different programs (for now) to be able to control the Loop Recorder and Hot Cues and Effects. The Loop Recorder and the Hot Cue modes only uses the Pads. The Effects mode uses both pads and knobs. Pad 1 and Knob K5 control one effect, Pad 2 and Knob K6 control a second effect, etc. The Pad triggers the effect as long as you hold it while the knob controls the parameter of this effect.

To program the effects, open Traktor and assign 3 different effects to each slots. Pads 5-8 of PAD control FX Unit 1, Pads 1-4 of PAD control FX Unit 2, with matching knobs. Make sure that in your configuration, you show 2 FX Units in group mode.

My Lpd8 is arriving tomorrow so will give it a whirl .

Hopefully this time not delete all my other mappings like I did first time I tried someone elses.

Make sure to export you current mapping devices before importing any new mapping.

I know, didn't know that first time though. Nearly as upsetting as the time I deleted all my beatgrids
