    Default Contour Remix, anyone?

Well after all the fuss surrounding the Jockey 3 Remix, I figured there's gotta be quite a few people out there with older gear, more specifically the Contours (I know a couple of people on here have one, at least), so I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in a J3Remix-style mapping for the Contours?

Here's a quick demo of the Beatmasher layer:

Apologies for the crappy quality, just did the video quickly on my phone mid-mapping lol.

Hey, that's really awesome shit your mapping there If you continue I would really appreciate the mapping
But maybe, (I will tell you my point of view, maybe you can get something to think about :P), since for example I, am mixin with 2 deck's with 2 Contours(A & B channel) and they both use the 1 & 2 buttons for applying which effect block is in use, modding your mapping to everyday use would be difficult for some newbie mappers. So I suggest maybe putting the effect pack to button 3 and sample deck's to button 4, that would be really awesome

Also I was wondering, if you are making the mappings inside the original mapping file or you added a new pake/mapping/layer, which can be activated/added/removed etc?

So basicaly A & B would be the same channels A & B, the 1 & 2 buttons are the regular effect block assigner buttons and button 3 takes you to "Remix mode", where all the controls do some crazy shit and button 4 takes you to sample deck mode, where the faders are the volume controls etc. Just some ideas

But I really like what you are doing, keep it going(I added some thoughts to private aswell)

Cheers mate Well the eventual goal is to have all 4 "pages" mapped with different effects. Each deck, and each page uses a separate TSI file, so you can load what you need and what you don't need in a piecemeal kinda way and modify and distribute your own versions. The additional TSIs won't work with the Reloop mappings, unfortunately, as there's no easy way of preventing the normal mappings from triggering without assigning modifiers to everything (which is what I'm doing atm).

I'd love this mapping when it's done the main thing I don't like about the reloop mapping is the lack of jog wheel on decks C & D I just don't have the patience to map those layers myself as I'd also like to change out the sample buttons as I trigger via my F1 and i love t he macro fx idea on the contour

You can set parameter jump to 0% in next press after freeze effect to cut reverb tail, pretty easy.

Wow, that's some complicated shit, can't even imagine how tedious process that could have been
Since I'm really looking forward to this(planning to maybe use this mapping in an oncoming Dj competition, or two), then atm you might consider me your no1 fan of mapping

Yeah I've done that now Also had to add an intermediate state between "off" and "on"; to facilitate changing the FX unit to group and loading each effect. If you try to do it on the same button press as setting the knob parameters and buttons, you get some sort of weird collision in Traktor's mapping engine, even with "Reset FX on Load" unchecked in preferences

Haha, well at the moment it's literally taking me HOURS just to perfect a single control's function, because I'm trying to do it all methodically and eliminate bugs as soon as they arise.
