Question How to extract samples from songs?

Hi everyone! I'm new in this forum and in the whole world of music! But lately i bought a novation launchpad and a traktor s2 to start djing. I started a new thread 'cause i'd like to learn how to pull out sounds as samples and loops from the songs! Just like M4SONIC did in his launchpad sets. Is it possible in Ableton? Thanks

find the sound you want, highlight the section you want (it'll turn yellow), right click cut, put it in a new channel, then go to the clip editor, hit loop, and voila- one sample.

another way to do this would be to right click on the track, slice to midi, and then the track will be split up into segments, and put into sampler. you can then trigger each sample by pressing the corresponding key/note on the piano roll, or keyboard.

another way would be to route your audio into a spare channel. arm the spare channel to recrod, then play the original. every time the spare channel records, you'll record what the original hannel is/was playing. you can then switch the record on and off as the track plays, and 'extract' different parts of the track.

btw i have no idea who you are talking about, but the best advice is to sound like you, and not someone who is already established.
