    Default S2 Mic Dilemma

I, like many, am disappointed that you can't use any effects on the mic on the S2. Is there any way to work around this? (that's relatively simple) I want to put a delay effect on the mic and maybe tweak things a little bit--kind of dub reggae style stuff.

The S2 Mk2 routes the microphone through Traktor so you can apply FX, but this is not possible with the Mk1. You can use a different sound card e.g. a Focusrite 2i4 and do all your audio routing through that instead.

I was under the impression that it's the opposite--the Mk1 routes the mic through Traktor but not the Mk2. I have the Mk2, so I wish what you said were true. Very confusing, indeed.

Set the Input Routing to send the Mic input to a Traktor deck, then apply FX as usual.

The Mk1 S2 routes the Mic directly to the Master output.

Oh, I see what you're saying. Use a track deck for the mic. Not ideal for the mix, ha. But what else can you do?
