Default F1 Mapping Not Working!!! Want to rip my hair out!

I've been literally sitting in my room for 10 hours trying to get this to work with zero luck. I'm honestly surprised I haven't thrown my F1 out the window yet. I have downloaded and installed EXACTLY HOW I WAS TOLD TO, the Tekken F1 mapping for Effects. After I go through the WHOLE process, the sync button doesn't light up. Only the shift. And while I can SHIFT BROWSE to get back to my remix deck and THAT works with the F1, I can't get a single effect to work. Nothing happens. I can see some values being affected but I'm getting no FX. I'm about to seriously scream and murder my roommates. I have to have this resolved by tonight. PLEASE HELP!!! I updated my F1 drivers... WTF is wrong with this?

I had some problems getting it to work too, and I will try to help. First, make sure you have 4 filters selected in preferences and the filter per deck is on (the 1,2,3,4 need to be lit up on the deck you are working on). If that's good make sure the controls are routed properly through the midi menu. What I mean is your in and out ports in the controller manager need to be matched with the F1 you are using for all 5 of the tekken maps. The device dropdown menu should show where they are being routed to. And if everything is good in the controller editor you should be golden. Chances are you didnt route all of the tekken mappings correctly.

Would some other F1 mappings be used normally?
