I recently completed my first full track and it would be awesome if you guys could give me pointers on how to improve future tracks. Thank you for all of the info!

good job i enjoy it even though not my kind of genres
just one comment maybe use a filter on the lead synth sounds when played loud and close it'll tend to create weird sounds in ears
It's true that the lead is quite loud, almost suffocates the rest of the production. Also it might be due to the fact that the mix has been over compressed/limited. I would place a room reverb with a short pre-delay followed by heavy compression on the lead itself. This could give it room and personality, allowing it to be less "in your face" and more "blended" with the rest. Might work might not work.. I'm just jiiving here. hehehe
I can say I've heard worse... but the mixing needs to be improved. The synth is piercing through my ears. Also, the whole song, the melody and beat of the song is not good.
It sounds really crisp so you did something right, at least.

I agree with Robby
It sounds to me like you have two synths trying to fight for the lead synth position. Give each space by upping or lowering one an octave and lowering the volume on one to put it more in the background. Use a spectrometer (if you have one, if not I'm sure there re freebies out there that will tell you what frequencies each instrument is using most) to help you out with your mix.
I like the sound of the bass, but the notes themselves are kind of boring. You can do something to jazz it up. Make it more stoccato, add a couple other notes in there or maybe throw in some octaves?
Overall, I'd say you did a helluva job for your first song though. Congrats!
