Default Anyone else having issues with Pioneer DJM900nexus

Unless I'm doing something wrong, I don't see how the mixer is 'traktor certified' when clearly not everything works. I have the latest RD MBP 15' (no Ethernet port) running traktor trying to have the djm900nxs in full operation. It works as a mixer, but no faders are shown, no change on traktor screen when knobs are turned, and even though I see DJM900NEXUS as my audio soundcard I do not see DJM900NEXUS for my audio ins and outs. I have the latest traktor pro2, as well as having the mixer up to date on drivers and firmware (though the firmware was patched on a PC not a Mac. How can I, no Ethernet port. It's running 1.31 firmware nonetheless. Any suggestions?

First of all, "traktor certified" means that you can use it with timecode with traktor SCRATCH pro software. That's it.
You have traktor pro and I assume you don't (or better said, can't) use timecoded CD's or vinyl to control playback.

For setting your mixer and traktor software in external mixing mode please check pioneer website and YT videos. Please also read about difference between internal and external mixing in traktor.

Did you do any research at all before buying your $2000 mixer?

You need to install the DJM 900 drivers before the inputs+outputs will appear in Traktor.

It sounds like your expecting to use the 900 as a midi controller? Install the drivers, run the DJM900NexusSettings Utility, that will allow you to route your audio sources…assuming your using timecode. The in tractor, you will need to check the routing, although the default will probably be correct. With the audio running through the mixer, you can forget about the faders and knobs moving in the software, as you will be mixing external to it.
