RCF 415a MKII vs Yamaha DXR15

I'm looking to finally upgrade to a new system from my Harbinger 120 which has lasted me quite a while with small parties. Though now I'm getting calls for larger parties in bigger venues(200-250 persons). After much research I have narrowed it down to two choices; the Yamaha DXR 15 and RCF 415 mkII. I've narrowed it down based on this criteria:
- loudness/long-throw
- durability
- ability to play loud for a long period of time (~6 hours)
- just a tad on looks (its why I pick the rcf415 over the rcf315)
- enough low-end to cover until i get a sub
- Sub-$1000 dollar price tag per speaker

I'm not an expert in anyway, but I have heard the DXR's in person and was blown away by its performance for roughly 4 hours. If anybody has any other choices I should look into please I'm more than open to suggestions. Just state your reasoning along with choice.

No experience with the 415's, but I have been using the 312a's by RCF for 1.5 years now and love them. Very clean sound and no problems what so ever. I too am saving up for a sub, but the mid bass from the 12's is good, so the 15's should be even better.

I would have thought that either of those speakers would do an outstanding job for 200-250 people. It looks like the DXRs will get slightly louder (133db vs 128db), but that all depends on how the manufacurer measured it. The Yamaha also has more inputs than the RCF. It basically comes down to personal preference though.

After reading so many forums comparing various speakers I've learned that some, if not most, manufacturers will mark their product specs high just to make the sale. I may just go with the RCFs just for the clarity in sound that everybody goes crazy for. I also feel that they will last much longer than the Yamahas too.
