I have 2 denon sc2900's and a beringer ddm4000. I want to use the sc2900's to control decks a and b in midi mode and use the ddm4000 as an external mixer. Do I need a usb audio interface?

No, you don't need an additional audio interface. The SC2900s have their own interfaces built in that can be used to send audio to the mixer.
